VETERINARY MEDICINE COUNCIL

ABOUT THE VETERINARY MEDICINE COUNCIL

The principal activities of the student council include interfacing with the faculty staff and administration of the college and serving as the forum for student concerns and ideas. The council acts as the representatives for the College of Veterinary Medicine DVM student body to PSA, AHC, the St. Paul Board of Colleges, the rest of the University and to the public at large. It also contributes to the development of leadership skills, promotes involvement and provides a forum for the essential dialogue between faculty, staff, administration and students to address issues of concern, to promote transparency and to facilitate the free exchange of ideas, all in a professional environment. Finally, the councils activities enhance the university community by supporting the goals of the DVM program- the production of competent, compassionate veterinarians.

All CVM students are welcome to attend meetings or to ask that something be addressed by Council members. Meetings are held every other Tuesday and location can be confirmed through the AHC departmental schedule viewer.
