PUBLIC AFFAIRS STUDENT ASSOCIATION

ABOUT THE PUBLIC AFFAIRS STUDENT ASSOCIATION (PASA)

The Public Affairs Student Association (PASA) is a student-run group at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. It is registered as an “official” student group, and receives funding from the Professional School Government (PSG) and from the Humphrey Dean’s Office. All Humphrey Students are PASA members.

The most important thing PASA does is distribute funding and plan events for the Humphrey Student body. PASA is given a budget of ~ $18,000 each year to distribute for social events, networking events, professional development workshops, speakers, and other programs for the benefit of the Humphrey community. PASA especially focuses on opportunities to connect students across degree programs, and to advance conversations about racial justice, gender justice, disability justice, both within the Humphrey School and within academia and public policy more broadly.

PASA has two Representatives in the PSG Congress and one Public Affairs Seat on the PSG Supreme Court.
