Q. What if I cannot make an interview day I have signed up for? Can I change my schedule?
A. You may change or cancel your interview day via Thalamus up to FOUR days prior to your reserved date. If you need to cancel or change within four days of your reserved date, please contact medapply@umn.edu.
Q. My internet tends to be unstable and sometimes I’m disconnected from a meeting. What happens if I get disconnected during the interview day?
A. We recommend you find the most stable internet connection available to you. If you are disconnected, simply reconnect via the Zoom link and our admin team will help you rejoin your interview and determine how best to ensure you get a reasonable chance to complete any conversations that were cut off.
Q. I can't make it to the evening reception ahead of my interview. Are there other options?
A. Yes. Please email medapply@umn.edu, and we can give you a list of other dates of receptions you can attend, if you wish. We are not recording attendance at those events, should you need to skip it entirely.
Q. Will I have an opportunity to visit the campus this year and see the Twin Cities?
A. Yes. We will be offering second look visit opportunities in February (see the Second Look tab for more details). Although virtual tours can't compare to experiencing the Twin Cities in person, we hope the videos and links located on this page of the candidate welcome website might help to give you a taste of what it's like to live here! Our chiefs and administrators are also happy to answer any questions you may have.
