It is your responsibility to maintain updated mailing and contact information and notify the School of Music Student Services office and the University of Minnesota of any changes in address or phone information. The School of Music is not responsible for information that is returned to its office due to insufficient address.
You can change your address with the University online at the My Info tab on the My U portal.
It is most important to activate your Student Internet Account promptly. To begin, complete the “Student Internet Account Initiation” form.
The official means of communication of the University of Minnesota is e-mail. All students are required to check their university e-mail accounts daily, and are responsible for all information sent to their accounts. In the event you forward your university email account to an alternate email address, you maintain responsibility for all information sent to your original university account. Email forwarding options are available through the computing services website.
If you have any problems with the password you establish for this account, you may contact the Technology Helpline at 612-301-4357 or help@umn.edu.
Students are encouraged to use the secure network ‘eduroam,’ which requires your full University email address and password for login. More information about using the University’s wireless network.
It is crucial to obtain your student identification card (U-Card). Your U-Card can give you access to campus buildings and different accounts based on your role/status at the University, and may be required for services such as parking, dining, and printing. The U-Card can also be used for payments at certain locations on campus. To acquire your U-Card, please bring a qualifying ID to a U-Card office. Be prepared to have your picture taken when you arrive! Review the U-Card website for office locations and hours.
