The University Bookstore is in the basement of Coffman Union, on the East Bank Campus. Textbooks for all School of Music courses can be purchased there. Once you have registered for your classes, you can purchase your books either in person or through the online bookstore. School of Music Merchandise can be found at the MN Alumni Market.
The mission of the Center for Writing is to enhance student learning, to improve writing instruction, and to deepen our understanding of literacy and the writing process.
The Disability Resource Center (DRC) works with students, faculty, staff, and guests with documented disabilities to facilitate access on an individualized case-by-case basis. The Aurora Center serves all victims/survivors/concerned people of sexual assault, relationship violence, stalking, and sexual harassment at the University of Minnesota and Augsburg University. Aurora's services are free and confidential to students, staff and faculty at the University of Minnesota. Appointments can be scheduled by emailing aurora@umn.edu or by calling 612-626-2929 Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm.
School of Music students have access to 259 Ferguson, which houses a computer lab with specialized music software. Paid printing is available using Gopher GOLD.

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is committed to the goal of creating a secure wireless network across campus. Students are encouraged to use the secure network ‘eduroam,’ which requires your full University email address and password for login. More information about using the University’s wireless network can be found on the OIT website.
University of Minnesota students who pay the Transportation and Safety Fee have unlimited access to the regional transit system in the Twin Cities metro area (rides on the NorthStar require a small supplemental fare for each ride). Students not paying the Transportation and Safety fee can opt-in to the program each semester.
Students who are enrolled or opt-in to the Universal Transit Pass will enjoy access for the entire academic semester, plus a grace period. More information can be found on the Parking and Transportation Services page.
Gopher Chauffeur provides free, safe rides home for all University of Minnesota-Twin Cities students. The Gopher Chauffeur team of drivers, navigators and operators are students trained in first aid and CPR. Call 30 min before you need a ride: 612-388-6911. Wheelchair accessible van available. The 624-WALK service provides free walking and biking security escorts to and from campus locations and nearby adjacent neighborhoods for all students, staff, faculty and visitors. To request a safe walk from a trained student security monitor, please call 612-624-WALK (9255), or 4-WALK from any campus phone, shortly before your desired departure time.
Student Legal Service (SLS) offers advice and representation on legal issues not related to the University of Minnesota for students paying the Student Services Fee at the Twin-Cities Campus and are limited to those outlined in our Policy Handbook.
