This study was about the experience of gay and bisexual male (GBM) survivors of prostate cancer and the effects of prostate cancer treatment.
Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in GBM, yet it has been severely under-researched. Because there have been no treatment studies of GBM with with prostate cancer, we do not know how well treatments work in this population. This study tested the effects of a multi-component online treatment program tailored for GBM prostate cancer survivors on their sexual and urinary outcomes.
The Restore Study was a randomized controlled trial to investigate the effects of an online education program on sexual and urinary rehabilitation for gay and bisexual prostate cancer survivors. The trial is no longer in its active stage, we are writing up final papers for publication to share what we have learned.
