We are looking for 6-year-olds to join our study investigating children’s performance on sentence repetition tasks.
Who Can Join?
To participate, children must...
Be 6 years old at the time of the study
Have a caregiver present for the duration of the session who is willing to fill out forms and surveys
Have a caregiver who can speak and understand English
Be a native speaker of English (had a caregiver speaking to the child in English from birth)
Have no current or past speech, language, or hearing disorders
What Will Happen?
Children will...
Spend about 20 minutes completing an articulation screener, grammatical language test, nonverbal IQ test, and hearing screening
Spend about 20 minutes completing a sentence repetition task, in which the child will watch a video of a person saying a sentence and then repeat it
Answer questions about the people saying the sentences
Recieve a prize for participating.
Caregivers will...
Be present for the entire duration of the study
Complete a questionnaire about their child’s communication skills
Receive $30 for participating in the study
