Researcher 3

Supervised by Frank Cichocki, Joined the lab in February 2023

Background

Colin transitioned to Cancer Research from a career in Ocean Chemistry after meeting researchers analyzing cancer in sea urchins. After interning for the National Cancer Institute, Colin earned a Masters of Science in Cancer with highest honors from University College London (UCL). At UCL, Colin gained an interest in genetic engineering of immune cells from his research dissertation, in which he constructed and tested novel chimeric antigen receptors (CAR) conjugated to bispecific T-cell engagers (BiTE) directed against murine CD19.

Research and Interests

Colin is currently continuing his work in immune cell engineering at the Miller Lab, where he is studying NK cell differentiation and development, and pursuing advancements to NK-cell based immunotherapies. Colin is interested in improving the applicability, feasibility and efficacy of adoptive cell therapy in order to lower treatment costs, increase accessibility and improve patient responses.
