The goal of these workshops was to provide an online platform where faculty and students from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, Morehouse College, Spelman College, and Howard University can continue building a partnership by sharing their work and participating in discussions relevant to their fields and programs. The workshops offered undergraduate and graduate students from Morehouse, Spelman, Howard, and the U of MN an opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary scholarly discussions in an environment that promotes respect, support, diversity, and critical thinking. The sessions were held online using the Zoom platform.
Workshop presenters discussed research in progress and/or innovative teaching initiatives and/or community collaborations. The workshops were designed to educate our students, colleagues, and community members about issues of pressing concern and to provide a space where presenters received feedback on their work from scholars across our colleges and universities.
