EWH Executive Board Members
President - Nic Stenlund
Nic is a Junior studying Electrical engineering from Shoreview, Minnesota. He has been a member of the EWH since September of 2022, working on the autoclave diagnostic tool that took 3rd place. Nic is committed to the personal and technical growth of all EWH members. He hopes to continue to grow the club’s impact and engagement within the community. In his free time he enjoys being a part of Men's Crew here at the University of Minnesota.

Vice President - Preston Le
Preston is a senior in Biomedical Engineering from Bloomington, Minnesota. Last year, he led the 2nd-placing Plazmozone design team, and remains committed to empowering the next generation of engineers as Vice President. Outside of classes, Preston enjoys arranging music for piano, soldering, data science, and investigating immune cells at his research lab.

Treasurer - Christopher Gross
Chris is a junior in biomedical engineering and was a member of the blue light therapy device competition team two years ago which created a phototherapy device to treat newborns with jaundice. He enjoys hiking, reading, getting boba with friends, and looks forward to another great year with his team.
Secretary - dalena young
Dalena Young is a senior in Biomedical engineering and has been with EWH as Secretary since Fall 2023. She has also participated in Design Team, and is excited to connect with new and returning members! In her free time, Dalena enjoys climbing/hiking, reading, talking to her many plants, and playing old person card games (cribbage or bridge anyone?). She is always available for questions (it's her job) and would not be upset if the EWH inbox received an influx of pet photos :)
Chair of Membership Development - Margaret krueger
Margaret is a Senior in biomedical engineering and two years ago she was a member of the light therapy device competition team. She enjoys boba runs, thrifting, and playing piano and flute. Margaret is excited to welcome all the new members this year!
Chair of Outreach - Devna Panda
Devna is a senior studying biomedical engineering. She has been a member of EWH for the past three years and served as the Chair of Outreach two years ago. Devna's passion for social impact has caused her to be interested in pursuing a career as a physician. She loves to write, read, work out, and engage in community service in her spare time.
Design Competition Team Lead - Asher Shertok
Asher Shertok is a sophomore in biomedical engineering and human physiology. Last year he was on the Plasmazone design team. This year he is excited to lead a competitive team to win first place in the DEBUT challenge, and take home that 20k prize. In Asher’s free time he likes to make devices with questionable legality (don’t worry about it) or poker (he doesn’t have a gambling addiction.. probably).

Design Competition Team Lead - Jackson Halko
Jackson Halko is a sophomore in biomedical engineering and has been in EWH since 2023. He was the Website Integration Subteam Lead on one of the Design Teams. This year he is excited to learn and teach many different things with his design team and make something amazing. In Jackson’s free time, he likes to play dnd, watch random math videos, and watch wrestling!

Design Competition Team Lead - Ahmed Sharara
Ahmed Sharara is a sophomore in biomedical engineering and applied mathematics. Last year he was a member of the ergonomic team on a design team. This year he is ready to co-lead a competitive and ambitious team to victory in the Debut challenge with Jackie Lee. In Ahmed’s free time he works in a research lab that focuses on cardiac tissue engineering. Outside of school he enjoys playing soccer with friends and feeding into Asher's gambling addiction.

Design Competition Team Lead - Jackie Lee
Jackie Lee is a second year in mechanical engineering and product design and has been a part of EWH since 2023 as the ergonomics lead on a design team. They’re excited to lead a competitive, innovative design team with Ahmed Sharara. Jackie enjoys spending time with her friends, gaming, and fencing.

Medical Devices Repair Lead - Anita Goncharuk
Anita Goncharuk is a sophomore in biomedical engineering and initially joined EWH her freshman year, working on the design team. She is excited to be restarting the medical device repair team this year and looks forward to welcoming any new members. In her free time, Anita enjoys going on nature walks, running, and spending time with friends and family.

Webmaster - Lee Wood
Lee is a sophomore in biomedical engineering and has been a part of EWH since freshman year working on the design team. She is currently doing research in the Mortari Lab and hopes to use her BME degree in organ biofabrication and tissue engineering. In her free time, Lee enjoys reading, watching movies and TV shows (looking for recommendations), camping, cooking, and playing (winning) games with friends.
