Outreach

Outreach & Volunteering

EWH aims to engage with the larger Twin Cities community through outreach initiatives related to global health and education. Specifically, we have worked with the Rural Health Care Initiative, an organization seeking to improve health and nutrition for women and children in Sierra Leone. Additionally, we recently organized a panel for high school students with H2U, an on-campus program for high school students interested in global health and health equity. Moving forward, we hope to continue partnering with similar organizations to have an impactful presence in our community.

Rural Health Care Initiative

This October, we partnered with RHCI to host the 5th annual Taste of Africa event, a fundraiser contributing towards maternal and pediatric health in Sierra Leone.

3M's Super Science Saturday

In October 2018, we shared our love for STEM with K-12 students at 3M's Super Science Saturday event. Kids got to perform surgery on Goldy Gopher and play a water piano while we had the opportunity to network with 3M employees.

Though outreach was essentially on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have resumed organizing events for the 2022–2023 academic year.

Stay tuned for future outreach & volunteer opportunities!
