Lab Visitors

A lab visitor is defined as an individual that will be working in the lab for less than one month and will be handling chemicals or biological samples.

Forms

• Fill out and sign Lab Usage Agreement (below).
• If the visitor is a minor (under the age of 18) the individual and the lab are required by law to complete additional paperwork. Please see Working with Minors (students under 18 years old)
• Send all completed paperwork to CBS HR at CBSHR@umn.edu.

Training

• Short-term visitors are not required to take the full online DEHS training due to the timeline of their visit.
• Short-term visitors ARE required to take lab specific training from a qualified individual in the lab.

Access

• Visit the Department main office (Rm. 140 Gortner) to gain space access.
