Absence requests for clerkships should be sent to the clerkship director and coordinator. Read more about excused absences in the Attendance Requirements & Excused Absences policy.
Requests for an approved absence should be submitted a minimum of three weeks in advance of the start of the rotation, except in cases of unexpected illness or emergencies (e.g., family or personal crises).

Oversee sites to ensure equivalent experiences

Award Final Grades
Oversee the implementation of the course at the site level
Are faculty members working at that site
Ensure that sites have accurate course rosters so that site staff can prepare for students
Approve late adds
Handle late drops
Approve arranged course adds
Maintain Canvas sites and send out information prior to clerkship start
Set up orientation
May set up didactic lecturers
Work with the Assessment and Evaluation team as needed
Input grades into PeopleSoft
Monitor student onboarding for completion
General Student questions
Liaise with site for any course/capacity/site issues/questions
Prepare day-to-day schedules for students
