Rehabilitation Medicine is a specialty of medicine devoted to the rehabilitation of people affected by various neurological, musculoskeletal, orthopedic and other medical conditions affecting function. We aim to facilitate restoration of the quality of life and maximize the potential of functional health. We provide medical assessments and consultation, functional evaluation, working together with the patient to set treatment goals, and provide specific medical interventions.  We work as a team with our members (allied health professionals) to provide the best of care in every rehabilitation journey. 1. Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation 

In Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation service, our doctors provide consultation, functional evaluation and rehabilitation treatment  for those affected from traumatic brain injury; and other acquired brain condition including intracranial tumour and malignancies, haemorrhagic stroke and vascular malformations, anoxic brain injuries from any cause as well as complex vestibular conditions affecting your balance. 

2. Neuromedical Rehabilitation

There are various neurological conditions that can affect the functional health of one person, including stroke, demyelinating disease, muscular dystrophy, poliomyelitis, adult cerebral palsies and others. Our neuromedical rehabilitation service provides assessment and consultation, where we design rehabilitation treatment plans tailored for each person’s individual needs.

3. Amputee Rehabilitation

Amputation is an acquired condition that results in the loss of a limb, usually from injury, disease, or surgery. This typically affects the functional health of one person. Amputee Rehabilitation service does health assessment of the general medical conditions and the remaining limb. Our consultation involves both the stages before and after prosthetic (artificial limb) restoration which includes, stump care, the best possible option for prosthetic restoration, assess and give advice on the alignment and fitting of the prosthetic limb. 

4. Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation

Being diagnosed with Spinal Cord injury could be devastating and severely affect one's medical and functional health where there will be inability to go back to personal and domestic activities of daily living as well as going back to the community as usual. Our spinal cord injury rehabilitation service aims to facilitate the restoration of our patient’s functional health where we work together as a team to manage the issues surrounding spinal cord injury; including mobility, activities of daily living, recreational activities, sexuality and gainful employment.  In our plan of care - the discussion about each rehabilitation treatment plan always centred around our patient’s individual goals.
