Intern Position Title: Communication and Marketing/Social Media Intern
Intern Position Description: Fulbright Slovakia is looking for an undergraduate student with strong knowledge and understanding of the marketing strategies and digital media landscape, including various social media platforms. The year 2024 will mark the 30 th anniversary of the establishment of the Fulbright Commission in Slovakia. On this occasion, Fulbright Slovakia plans to launch an online and offline campaign to celebrate this milestone, and attract a higher number of prospective candidates for Fulbright programs, as well as potential partners. The role of the intern will be instrumental in creating and implementing Fulbright Slovakia’s campaign and gaining visibility on social media platforms.
Responsibilities:
brainstorming and researching campaign ideas for original content
monitoring Fulbright Slovakia’s social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
creating, and posting content to different social media platforms
helping plan social media campaigns to reach a wider audience and increase brand awareness in Slovakia
monitoring and improving analytics (google analytics, monthly review of social media presence, suggesting review strategies.
helping with editing and designing invitations/flyers for the 30 th anniversary events
helping with events organization (sending invitations, tracking RSVP, practical and ad hoc issues)
updating emergency and crisis plan following the worldwide Fulbright program guide and best practices of
other Commissions
helping with data analysis for 30th anniversary
Desired Skills, Interests, & Qualities: The intern hired for this position will need:
knowledge of a variety of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok (its analytics)
good knowledge of google analytics
data analytics
experience with graphic design software (preferably Canva)
strong writing skills to create content and adapt the brand’s voice to a variety of different social media platforms
to be creative with copywriting and editing skills
to be creative with copywriting and editing
to be comfortable creating and managing multiple social media accounts and developing content to inform, educate and engage the brand’s audience to increase awareness, boost traffic and achieve marketing goals
to be interested in social media trends

Internship Dates: Any six consecutive weeks from May 15, 2024, to August 15, 2024, with the possibility of extending the number of weeks. The exact dates and the number of weeks will be communicated later with the successful candidate.
Hours per Week: Minimum 25 – 30 hours/week. The exact number of hours will be communicated later with the successful candidate.
Pay or Other Compensation: The Commission can provide a small grant to cover meals and expenses connected with housing. The Commission can assist the intern with finding accommodation.
Funding: The intern is responsible for covering expenses for a roundtrip flight ticket, health care insurance, local public transportation, and other incidentals.
Additional Information: The position is open for one candidate, working in person in the Fulbright Commission’s office in Bratislava, Slovakia. The successful candidate may be offered an extension of the internship. The communication and social media intern with Fulbright Slovakia will be trained to understand the worldwide Fulbright program, its principles, and its branding. The benefits of the position include international experience, working on a flexible schedule, gaining insight into the administration of the Fulbright program, a reference letter, and a certificate of appreciation from Fulbright Slovakia after the completion of the internship.

Intern Position Title: GLOBSEC Policy Institute Intern
Intern Position Description:
Assisting with administrative and operational duties in relation to the organization of GLOBSEC activities, flagship conferences, and GLOBSEC Policy Institute (GPI) initiatives
Gathering and organizing logistical information for GLOBSEC conferences and online events as assigned
Assisting with the day to day management of the stream programs as assigned, including coordination with internal and external actors, attending meetings with partners, taking notes, preparing reports and readouts
Preparing materials for the stream program, including background research, internal notes, conference agendas, invitations, list of invitees, stakeholder mapping, media monitoring, etc.
Attend various online events of thematic interest
Contribute to/write reports, op-eds, articles on relevant subjects for external publishing
Possess a strong command of transatlantic policies and dynamics (Economy & Business, Global Europe, Defense & Security, Democracy & Resilience
