The Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission is a non-profit educational foundation that administers the Fulbright Program in Poland – a flagship international educational exchange program of the U.S. government. Intern Position Title: Fulbright Summer Intern

Intern Position Description:
Interning at the Fulbright Commission is a great way to gain valuable, hands-on work experience of working in a non-profit, international environment. 

List of responsibilities will be discussed with prospective interns during the Google Meet interview. Scope of duties might include, dependng on intern’s interests and skills:

Social media: developing content for EducationUSA Poland social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube). 

Graphic design: preparing graphic designs and/or updating promotional and informational materials for Fulbright Poland and EducationUSA Poland (for digital and

 print, such as infographics, posters, booklets).

Updating Fulbright Alumni database and work related to record/database management.

Assisting in managing EducationUSA Advising Center and providing information to Polish students about American higher education system

Assisting Program Officers with day-to-day Fulbright grants management

Conducting independent project related to the work of the Fulbright Commission

 The Tatra Museum, Zakopane

The Tatra Museum is a network of museums that include a range of ethnographic artifacts, specimens of natural history, and artwork. The Museum contains of 12 branches located in Zakopane and in neighboring villages: the main building on Krupówki, the Gallery of Art at Oksza Villa, the Władysław Hasior Gallery, the Kornel Makuszyński Museum, the Gallery of Art in Koziniec, Museum of the 1846 Uprising in Chochołów, Łopuszna Manor, the Sołys Croft and the Korkosz Croft. The Tatra Museum represents a legacy as well. A legacy of a fierce love for the natural beauty of the Tatra Mountains and a fascination with the

culture of Zakopane.

Intern Position Title: Communications & Events Intern

Intern Position Description:
The Intern assists with day-to-day activities in the Museum in different fields. She/he will discover the secret, fast-paced, behind-the scenes workings of the museum. The intern should have strong interest in cultural heritage issues. She/he will explore the history and culture of Zakopane and Tatra Mountains. The intern will take part in preparing and introducing events and exhibitions, she/he will be responsible for assisting with special events. He/she will be involved in all activities concerning communicating on behalf of the museum, to the media and to the public. The Intern will also have the opportunity to conduct his/her own research in the field.

Fundacja Galicia Jewish Heritage Institute/Galicia Jewish Museum

The Galicia Jewish Museum, founded in 2004, exists to present the Jewish culture and heritage of former Galicia region. Intern Position Title: Education Department Intern

Intern Position Description:
The internship program at Galicia Jewish Museum offers in-depth insight into the workings of a growing and dynamic organization. Interns are fully immersed in ongoing projects of the Museum. This allows them to gain practical experience in a thriving cultural institution whilst focusing on the preservation of Jewish and Holocaust memory in both a Polish and international context. The internship will consist of rotating between Curatorial Affairs, Visitors Service, Education and Communication, helping in everyday work of those Departments of the Museum:

Desired Skills, Interests, & Qualities:

Interns should be enrolled in, or recently graduated from, an undergraduate or postgraduate university program in a relevant subject (such as Jewish or religious studies, Holocaust and genocide studies, history, anthropology, social sciences, tourism or cultural management), or be able to demonstrate significant interest in the field. Good writing and editing skills will be greatly appreciated. All applicants for the internship program should be able to demonstrate a commitment to the work and mission of the Galicia Jewish Museum.

Jewish Community Centre of Krakow (JCC Krakow)

JCC Krakow was opened in April 2008 by His Royal Highness King Charles and now serves as the focal point for the resurgence of Jewish life in Krakow. Located in the heart of the city’s Jewish district of Kazimierz, the JCC provides Krakow’s growing Jewish

community with a space to meet, learn, and share ideas in a warm, welcoming environment. Since 2022 JCC Krakow has also become a humanitarian aid agency, providing support to displaced Ukrainians and Israelis.

Intern Position Title: Communications & Marketing Intern

Intern Position Description:
JCC Krakow is seeking an intern who will work full-time with the external relations team, focusing primarily on English-language communications for the purposes of marketing and PR. Throughout the year, the inter will develop English content, visitors and assist in creating communitywide Jewish events along with JCC staff. The position entails interacting with international groups and visitors coming to the JCC as well as research into potential international partnerships within programming as well as development areas. If the intern is available before June20th, they can take part in JCC Krakow’s Ride For The Living. Ride For The Living combines Holocaust education with a meaningful 60-mile bike ride from the gates of Auschwitz-Birkenau to JCC Krakow, giving participants the opportunity to learn about Krakow’s Jewish past, present, and future.

Hours per Week: The intern will be expected to work approx. 40 hours a week.

Pay or Other Compensation: Unpaid position. JCC Krakow can help identify suitable housing in Krakow and help with the formal side of the rental process.

Additional Information: Laptop and a mobile phone will be required – if the intern cannot provide these tools on their own, JCC Krakow should be notified in advance. WiFi (both at work and at the apartment) and a Polish sim card (e-sim is possible) will be provided by JCC Krakow. The intern will have access to all community and social events organized at JCC Krakow (approx. 10 events every week), many of which are available in English.
