The Physics Graduate Council began the physics peer mentoring program to help new students in the transition to graduate school and current students in developing their professional mentoring skills. We have made some big improvements to the program this year:
Instead of mentorship pairs, we will now have mentorship groups of four people - two mentors and two mentees. This is change is meant to give mentees more access to mentors, and to ensure that mentors and mentees can meet more consistently.
We now offer a $20/month stipend to each mentorship group to encourage regular meetings, e.g. for getting coffee as a group. Need to use your stipend? Use the link below.
