Math 289

Course Description: Math 289 is a course designed to develop problem solving skills intended for students with a strong interest in mathematics. This course is a good preparation for the Putnam exam on February 20, 2021.

Each class will be a combination of lecture, individual presentations and group work.

Saturday 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM (Open)

Homework Policy: Homework will be due every Tuesday at midnight on Canvas. No late homework will be accepted. Only emergency situations will be considered for extensions on homework.

Collaboration on homework is strongly encouraged.

Grading Policy: Homework will be checked for submission. Your grade depends on active participation and attendance.

Announcement: Election day is Tuesday, November 3. To accommodate voting, no assignments will be due that week. For more information on how to participate on election day, please visit https://govote.umich.edu/.
