Starting with the 2025-2026 Academic Year, we have transitioned to a 26-block (2 weeks each) curriculum, thoughtfully curated to best align with the new ACGME requirements. We are thrilled to share our new curriculum which includes a variety of experiences to enrich our residents' experiences while also preserving valuable learning opportunities:
Professional Development Week (PDW) in each year (expansion of our current week in the first year) with additional longitudinal PDW sessions in the second and third years
Anesthesia Week (PGY-1) and surgical subspecialty exploration (PGY-2)
Pediatric Community Health Advocacy Rotations (PGY-1 and PGY-2)
Exposure to robust ICU and subspecialty experiences
Vast array of elective rotations to curate individualized curriculum (over 42 weeks' worth!) experiences based on areas of interest (General Studies, Intensive Care, Global Health & Healthcare Disparities, and more!)
Longitudinal mental health experiences
Graded autonomy and emphasis on leadership through supervisory experiences in many settings
We have included visual and written demonstrations of the various experiences that our residents will have, delineated by year. Note: the block order does NOT reflect what any individual resident's schedule may look like; instead, it showcases the quantity of each experience by category!
