As partial fulfillment of the degree of doctor of education, pre-candidates are required to participate in a minimum of three community forums by presenting two scholarly posters and a sitting on a professional panel. I participated in four community forums with three scholarly posters and one panel presented below.
A poster presentation on leadership theory and organizational change, as well as forum attendee feedback. The poster describes several constructs of leadership and the role they each play in organizational change.
A poster presentation on urban education reform through educational leadership and organizational change theory, as well as forum attendee feedback. The poster adds an additional dimension, urban education reform, to the poster presented in community forum 1 (above) by segmenting leadership into transformational or transactional as a method to creating a continuum of effective organizational change.
A poster presentation on online course and program development in higher education, including the introduction of underlying educational theory such as social efficiency, learner-centered, and a capitalistic approach.
A collaborative presentation and panel discussion focused on the curriculum, instruction, and leadership practices in online learning environments. I took the position and offered the perspective of online learning in higher education.
