Key Campus Resources for Students

There are many campus resources available for students. Some of these options are confidential such as counselors and health services. Other campus resources are non-confidential and would also likely be mandatory reporting offices for crimes or university policy breaches. The resources are identified as confidential or non-confidential in the list below. Embedded CAPS Counselor

The School of Information has an embedded Psychologist named Ashley Evearitt, offered in partnership with the U-M Counseling and Psychological Services office.  Ashley is available to current UMSI students, typically for appointment based counseling. Students needing walk-in services should go to the U-M CAPS office. Additionally, Ashley is available to partner with instructors and administration, and can offer programming or targeted support on issues. UMSI Office of Academic and Student Affairs

You can refer students with issues or needs of various sorts to the UMSI Office of Academic Student Affairs (OASA) staff. For academic support, students can email their program-specific academic advising teams and/or the academic success team listed below. These emails are monitored during normal business hours and can be used by students, faculty, instructors, GSIs, and staff.

This form is monitored during normal business hours and can be used by faculty, instructors, GSIs, and staff.

For Students and Employees: Sexual Assault Services at University Health Service (UHS). UHS provides medical services for those who have experienced sexual assault, including sexual assault medical exams conducted by a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) from Washtenaw County: (734) 764-8320
