Student Poster Session

Conferences are a great way to share what you have learned with others, and students are encouraged to present a poster at the conference. The conference organizers will send an email containing information and resources to CUWiP attendees who indicate interest in presenting a poster on their site-specific registration form (site-specific registration will be sent in early November). If you intend to present a poster but have not received this email, please first ensure that you have completed site-specific registration for the University of Michigan and contact the local organizing committee with any remaining questions.

The due date and details for poster abstract submission will be included in the site-specific welcome email, which all registered attendees will recieve in late December/early January. The abstract should be a maximum of 150 words.

Please email um-cuwip-planning@umich.edu with any questions related to student presentations.

DETAILS FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS

We recommend that you limit your poster size to four feet wide and three feet high as larger poster sizes cannot be accomodated on our easels.  You must print and bring your poster with you to the conference, and we encourage you to ask your home institution for help in printing the poster.  It is also fine to print a poster on multiple sheets of paper, or re-use a poster you have presented previously if that is what is available to you.

Please plan to stand near your poster during the poster session so that you can discuss your poster with viewers.  We will also award fun prizes for posters that the judges think are the most interesting and which are presented clearly.
