NOTE: From January 31st, 2023 your MarylandSmith/Smoogle account will be deactivated and deleted and you will no longer be able to login and use this form, therefore starting from January 31st, 2023 you will need to contact the Office of Development and Alumni Relations via alumni@rhsmith.umd.edu to provide or change your forwarding address. They will verify your identity and collect the desired personal destination address and pass that onto the internal team at Smith IT for actioning. Please do not reach out directly to the Office of Smith IT, as they do not have access to your records to be able to appropriately verify your identity and will direct you to DAR to perform the steps in the prior sentence.
As part of the transition away from Smoogle, alumni who currently have mailboxes will have their service converted to a mail-forwarding solution. Therefore we need to know where to forward your @marylandsmith.umd.edu email address to.
We have provided a two-question form that you can fill out to request to have your email forwarded to the account of your choosing. To access the form you must be logged into your MarylandSmith account. This not only identifies you to us but guarantees that we will be processing the right account with the right forwarding address.
You can access the form with this link. Enter the address you want to have your @marylandsmith.umd.edu account to forward to, and optionally the date you would like the forwarding to begin (if you do not provide a date then forwarding will commence on January 11th, 2023). Click the Submit button at the bottom of the page and your request will be forwarded for actioning. You will also be sent a copy of your request to your @marylandsmith.umd.edu email address.

Unable to login to your MarylandSmith account?
If you are unable to login to your MarylandSmith account to provide a forwarding address, you should be able to perform a self-service password reset as ideally you would have provided a recovery email address or recovery phone number in your account, or you may be able to remember an older passsword for your account.
Perform the account recovery steps listed by Google in this help article here. If you are unable to complete the process you can contact the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at the Smith School via alumni@rhsmith.umd.edu. The Office will verify your identity and will then forward your request and current email address to the Office of Smith IT who will set up password recovery on your account so that you can gain access. Please do not reach out to the Office of Smith IT directly, we do not have access to your information to be able to verify your identity and will redirect you to the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
