The criteria below are for students applying for the 2026-2027 cohort.
Students who are Computer Science and Informatics majors at the Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences (CICS).
In their first year at CICS or an incoming transfer student at the time of application.
Not taken any CS 300 or above level courses before or during the application period.
Meet minimum GPA standards to be selected. Usually the threshold is around a 3.0 (but it can vary from year to year).
You must express why you are interested in exploring research in CICS and in this program in particular.
You must express why you are interested in "Computing for the Common Good".
Peer Community:
You must express how you can contribute to building a supportive group of peers.
