1st Grade

...in our reading and math adventures! We have been practicing strategies that will help us build and read words, and are working hard to write sentences of our own!

In math, we have been practicing different ways to count as well as add numbers together. We’ve had lots of fun with different number stories, games, and songs to help us work on these skills!

First graders have also been doing a great job of showing readiness, responsibility, and respect! We have been working hard on showing kindness to others and building friendships while also learning ways that we can be responsible for ourselves and our things. We are getting so big!

First graders also got a chance to visit our amazing Gulph Garden, and learned about different plants that will help keep our garden healthy as we get ready for winter!

This month, we will spend time learning about the upcoming holiday of Diwali as well as have our Fall Festival. We are very excited for what’s to come, and can’t wait to share updates!
