The idea behind Transcriptainment came to me when I saw most of my students' difficulties in learning trænˈskrɪpʃən. The ability to read transcription and the ability to ultimately write using IPA transcription is a prerequisite for beginner courses like Spoken English as well as more advanced linguistics courses.
Transcriptainment, a blendof transcription and entertainment, is an edutainment resource that students will hopefully enjoy as they learn transcription through songs, old and new, movies and TV series, and even some cartoons.
