I hold a MA Degree in English Language and I'm studying an MA Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. Currently I am an English lecturer at the English and German Department at Universidad de La Laguna and a researcher at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where I conduct research on the impact of self-access online instruction on EFL university students' ability to write status-congruent emails to instructors.
My expertise lies in the design of technology-enhaced language learning and teaching materials, particularly those focused on academic communication in higher education contexts.
These are some of my main interests:
Instructional L2 pragmatics.

I share my passion on these topics by being actively involved in several networks and associations. I hold executive roles at ITAP and ELINET. Specifically, I am a member of the executive board and the Communications Department Chair at ITAP and I'm the Publications/Communication Coordinator of the TELL (technology-enhanced language learning) strand of ELINET. Below you can find two open-access talks I hosted as part of the ELINET TELL Webinar series (fall 2024):
I am also an advocate of open science, so I regularly try to contribute to different initiatives in open scholarship.
