What is pick-up?
"Pick-up" is when a group of unassociated Ultimate Players get together at a set time and place, make up teams and play a game or a number of short games of Ultimate. This can be anything from 3 to 7 a-side. It's fun, casual and a great way to try or continue playing Ultimate in a flexible manner without joining a club.Â
The UK Facebook group (link below) is used regularly by people who play pick-up. Sometimes you will find opportunities to pick-up with a team at a competition - teams will post asking for players, or individuals might post asking if teams a short on numbers. This can be a great way to meet and play with new people.
