Mercedes López Santiago

Mercedes López Santiago is PhD in French Philology from the Universitat de València and Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Linguistics at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), has been teaching French since 1998. Her lines of research focus, on the one hand, on the teaching of French for Specific Purposes, and, on the other hand, on Lexicology, Terminology and Speciality Lexicography. She is co-author of the Vocabulari Forestal (2010) and the Diccionario Multilingüe de Turismo (2014); and linguistic advisor of the Vocabulario Básico de Construcción Arquitectónica (2005). She is the author of book chapters, journal articles and communications in specialised conferences, as well as co-editor of conference proceedings and a monograph on El léxico del discurso turístico 2.0. She has participated as a researcher in national and regional research projects. She is a member of several research groups (CAMILLE, SLATES, GENDICIT, GLIF) and is currently supervising two doctoral theses. Her latest publications are on L'interculturalité à travers les TIC dans le domaine du tourisme : une étude contrastive espagnol-français (2020), La machinima Entrevista de trabajo / Entretien d'embauche : une ressource numérique pour l'apprentissage de la langue française en contexte universitaire (co-author, 2020), El léxico del turismo religioso: perspectiva contrastiva español-francés (2019) and Propuesta de elaboración de un glosario bilingüe (español-francés) en línea de términos arquitectónicos (2019).
