Alison Gourvès-Hayward

Professor, Head of the Department of Modern Languages, IMT Atlantique, Brest campus, France, a Graduate engineering school in France. She was educated in Great Britain (UCL & Leicester University), France (Université de Bretagne Occidentale) and Ireland, where she completed her PhD in Intercultural studies at Dublin City University. She has extensive experience in education, interpreting, translation and managing and training multicultural teams. Her research interests include telecollaborative and academic intercultural learning, intercultural mediation and intercultural competences for student and practicing engineers. She has published extensively in this field and given many academic papers and invited talks at national and international conferences.
