Dr. Vickie Cook is the Acting Associate Provost for Enrollment Management/Associate Vice Chancellor of Online Professional & Engaged Learning, and Research Professor in the College of Education at the University of Illinois Springfield. She holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration and an M.S. in Adult Education.
Dr. Cook has been actively engaged providing consulting, peer review, and faculty development with educational leaders across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. She has provided consultation to over 50 institutions seeking to expand or evaluate their online learning programs, continuing education, and leadership. She has published over 40 journal articles and book chapters in a variety of national educational publications and she serves as a peer reviewer for six of the top journals in the field of Online Learning and Education.
Her current research interests include.
1. The exploration of engaging Generation Z students in learning through a heutagogical lens.
2. Capacity building in higher education through leadership.
3. Generational learning strategies.
Dr. Cook serves on several regional and national boards.
