It is ranked as one of the top 10 universities of the Philippines. Silliman University is a melting pot of cultures and religions. About 5% of its population is composed of international students from 53 countries; it was founded on August 28, 1901. It is considered as one of the most beautiful architectural buildings in region 7 of the Philippines.
The building of the Silliman University is one beautiful architectural invention as it represents the traditional and old look in the 1900s of the Philippine history, once I look at the architecture, it immediately tells me that it is from the Philippines, and knowing that many historical buildings can be found in the 7th Region of the Philippines, it amazes many local people and foreign tourists. When visiting Negros Oriental, one spot I would immediately recommend visiting to, is the building of the Silliman University.
The Ruins building is the remains of the ancestral home mansion of the family of Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson and Maria Braga Lacson. It is situated in Talisay, Negros Occidental, Philippines. The mansion was built in the early 1900s and inspired by Italian architecture.
As I am interested in Historical sites or buildings, this building in the city of Talisay absolutely attracts my attention because of its theme and design, it gives me a sense of feeling that I am in the historical times of the Philippines. And if I ever have the chance to go to Talisay City, the Ruins is definitely on my list of the best go-to places.
