Meet the Members

We, the members of Group V from XII - St. Frances of Rome are dedicated to promoting the arts and culture of our very own country, the Philippines. We want to present and give more importance to the different art forms of Region 7. We want to showcase the talents of the people in Region 7 and give appreciation to their work. We also want to discover the use, purpose, and beauty of the people and their works of Region 7.

The Group 5 members gained a lot while making this art portfolio. As we research and gather information about the arts and culture of Region 7, we have also learned more about the history of the Philippines and our identity as Filipinos. We have recognized the local artists who have been contributing to the Philippine arts. Thus, we have also learned to appreciate and understand the significance of the elements and principles used in creating art. Actually, upon learning about the given performance task this quarter, we were really excited and interested to make this activity because we know we have a lot more to learn about the arts and culture from the regions of the Philippines. While doing this activity, we explored the past and the present and we have come to realize the importance of Filipino artists in the country.
