Ancient Egyptians worshipped well over one thousand gods and goddesses that all did different things for their everyday lives. They worshiped these gods at different temples, alters, shrines, and even in their own homes. These gods gave meaning behind things many people did not understand and gave purpose for life in many ways. I want to know why and how they worshiped from not only a day to day point of view but also overall throughout their entire lives and how that effected them personally.

My name is Carson Banks, and I am a junior at the University of Florida. I am conducting research for this website to get a better insight to Ancient Egyptians religion and how that translated into everyday life. Of all Ancient civilizations Egypt has always by far strike my interest the most. From the many things they were able to accomplish in the many years of being a top civilization, including fascinating inventions, sculptures, writing systems, as well as their complex and fascinating religion. Egypt has many things to offer for many people including people who might not even like history all that much. Egypt’s rich history involving many other cultures proves something to marvel at.
