The main points I wanted to focus on in the site were how the everyday person would worship why they worshiped and who they worshipped. In doing this I found out a ton about Ancient Egypt and their religious practices. I learned things about Egypt such as that most people could never go through a mummification process due to the price of it leading to many people having to find other ways to be connected to the afterlife in death. This would lead to many families coming up with unique ways to connect the dead to themselves. Another thing to note was how many gods and goddesses they worshipped. While I could not find much on how they balanced all these gods together, I do find this to be an interesting point of discussion. If there were so many gods how one person managed to find the time to worship them all or even just some of them. I will conduct further research into this topic to find my answers. In doing research for this topic, I discovered many new gods I had never even heard of before and it is interesting to see how they all seem to correlate together while still having many different stories and features between them all. After completing all me research I believe I’m much more connected to the understandings of Egyptian culture and why they studied and worshiped the beings they did. While not all gods were good gods, they all served a greater purpose than we ever could have known without research.
