Affordances

As discussed in the project definition, the main goal of the mobile and web application is to guide users through the IRB application process from start to finish. In keeping with this goal, we discuss the affordances of our proposed solution as well as the main components of our final products. Additionally, we discuss functionalities and actions we believe will address user needs.

The Product

• A mobile and web-based application for multi-platform use (i.e. Android, iPhone, and Desktop)

• Clear and detailed progression on main IRB sections (i.e. from log-in screen to submission.

• Switch between revision responses and previous versions.

• Create profiles to make the system personalized

• Users who have not logged in will be able to use the system without the personalization option and features and will be unable to submit an application.

• Users must agree to receive notifications on their phones or via email.

The user info will be stored locally to allow for offline use.
