I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to interact with Voki. Voki is an educational tool that educators can use to create a talking character. It provides several free customizable options and premium features that require payment. I would enjoy using this feature to introduce myself to an online audience. For example, if I were giving a presentation, I would use Voki to provide the audience with my background information. This would provide a more engaging experience than standing in front of everyone. Also, it would be a valuable feature to incorporate into online classes similar to this one. At the beginning of the semester, I would have my students introduce themselves using Voki rather than the traditional discussion board post. As a student myself, I often feel like a broken record by the time I finish all my welcome discussion posts. My students would enjoy learning to use Voki as they could begin using it in their future courses or careers. A possible drawback of Voki is that it only allows users to upload a 60-second voice-over. I had to record my voiceover several times because I exceeded the 60-second limit. I suggest providing a brief introduction to fit within the time constraint and not produce cognitive overload.
Polk County is the fastest-growing county in Florida and the United States of America. It is conveniently located between Tampa and Orlando, making it ideal for individuals to communicate for work, school, or leisure. Surprisingly, Polk County is larger than the state of Rhode Island. The rapid growth is causing an influx of housing developments, roadways, drainage easements, and traffic delays. The residents of Polk County need to be aware of the Roads and Drainage’s mission and services. This Prezi presentation provides a simple overview of our division's services to the community. For instance, the presentation informs residents that we maintain all county roads and traffic signals. Ultimately, citizens of Polk County would be able to help reduce hazardous conditions on our roadways by knowing where to report such conditions.
Additionally, if an individual wanted to host a block party, they would have quick access to the lane/road closure forms and the approval process. As someone who works and lives in Polk County, I found the need to produce an informative presentation to provide our residents/visitors with crucial information. Florida is an attractive target for hurricanes. Therefore, being familiar with the maintenance unit locations is essential as they hand out free handbags. As an employee of Polk County BoCC, I aim to ensure that I provide the highest quality service and information. I have exemplified this through my presentation. I highly recommend using Prezi to create an informative and engaging presentation.

Multimedia learning is composed of various forms of media, such as images, video, text, audio, and even interactive elements to help enhance the learning process. There are several benefits to incorporating multimedia learning into your course content. Studies have shown that presenting information in visual and verbal formats can drastically improve students’ ability to process and recall information. However, it is essential not to overwhelm the learners with content, causing information overload. I enjoy interactive multimedia, which helps me stay focused and expand my knowledge. This presentation discussed how media can be presented in various formats and how it depends on technology. Thankfully, the internet provides students and educators several free sites, such as YouTube or Edpuzzle. I have had the pleasure of using YouTube for almost all my life; therefore, I am very familiar with it. YouTube is a fantastic resource to gain additional information on a subject you may be confused about. Edpuzzle is a resource that educators can use to create interactive video lessons. These video lessons can easily be integrated into any Learning Management System, such as Canvas or Blackboard. It also provides data analytics, which allows teachers to pinpoint which students may need additional assistance with a specific concept. I highly recommend incorporating multimedia into your classroom, which can transform the learning experience.
