UDSD - JCL was founded circa 1985 to bring together secondary and middle-level classics students from around the district. UDSD - JCL is part of the Pennsylvania Junior Classical League, a state organization consisting of over 20 schools across the state.

We are also part of the National Junior Classical League, an international student organization consisting of over 45,000 members spread out among more than 1,000 chapters.
