Convention 2024

The PAJCL annual Latin Convention is a long running scholastic competition held overnight at a college campus. Since its inception in 1951, the annual PAJCL Latin convention has served as an opportunity for students all across the state to form friendships with students from other schools and become a part of a greater Latin learning community. Furthermore, schools and students have the opportunity to show off their excellence and earn awards in a variety of athletic, academic, artistic, and oratory competitions.

This Year's Conventions and Themes

Saturday, 5/18: Harry Potter

Prepare for a day of wizardry as all schools are assigned Hogwarts Houses and have the opportunity to compete for our version of the "House Cup"...

Sunday, 5/19: NJCL Theme

This year's formal NJCL and PAJCL theme is "Multa, quae impedita natura sunt, consilio expediuntur" - Livy, Ab Urbe Condita, XXV. All delegates will recieve a convention T-Shirt featuring this quote.

All adults attending the convention must submit the following clearances:

-State Clearances Instructions

--These are good for 5 years

--Teachers and school faculty, you can likely receive a copy of your clearances by contacting your HR

--Both the act 34 and act 151 are must be submitted to attend convention as an adult
