To create better self-esteem within our community, students wrote positive messages on paper phones. We hung up the phones around the school on people's lockers to boost self-love and self-worth.
The first act of kindness encouraged many of our peers to become engaged in the community. With a board and an impactful message, we were able to broadcast our promotion. The sign stated "We ♡ Mental Health Education"
To help our friends find fun and relaxation without technology use, we hosted an event where all could come and play board games or cards, talk with friends, eat their lunch or the snacks we provided, and play volleyball with balloons. Many found joy, laughter, and fun in those around them.
In our community, we found it a necessity to show gratitude. We hosted this event so our peers could write cards that show their appreciation for one another.
To further increase the mental health of students in our community, we planted lavender plants outside in the greenhouse our school has! Our goal was to make it a place where kids could relax, interact with other students, and plant plants!
We decided that it would be super beneficial and fun to make the outside of our school more cute! We did this by planting a wide variety of plants, including sunflowers, bulbs, and pumpkins! We did it because it improved our mental health by having us work outside, and also made our school look better to help improve the mental health of our peers!
