My name is Kelly and I am a senior at UCSD, getting my bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts with a minor in Design. I want to pursue a creative career where I can work on unique projects and inspire others. I work in a variety of mediums, including digital fabrication and design, set design, and a variety of physical projects.
Below are examples of my work. Take a look around!
3D Modeling
First modeled in blender, this tiger was first 3d printed, then casted in plaster to create a glass blowing mold.
The character are bassed off of the the orginal art of aztec gods.

I worked on the set design, construction, painting, specific prop construction, installation, and more. All while ensuring the safety of the actors.
One of my first productions with Muir Musical at UCSD, and I learned many skills while working on a large theatre operation.
With a smaller budget, our team worked to create a striking set with color and a rebellious style.
Using faux neon signs and lighting, we distinguished the different scenes and settings. The graffiti has the same 5 color palette as the signs to keep the set cohesive.

In these projects I learned to create circuits and how to best troubleshoot a problem. Each project implemented circuitry, but also 3D printing, lasercutting and art elements.
Examples of work from Blender, Shaper and Touch Designer
Learning how to create something digitally and then tangibly create it is a large aspect of the Computing and the Arts major.
Examples of work from the Green Corridor Project, a prospective park in National City. Made in collaboration with the Urban Collaborative Project (UCP) and UCSD Global TIES
One of my previous jobs was running and maintaining an Electrical and Computer Engineer (ECE) Makerspace, for students to come in and prototype and create. My duties included answering questions, space enhancements, and maintaining equipment. I completed several projects to increase the usability of the space for both staff and students.
Created resources and systems to improve the usability and communications of the ECE Makerspace.
Created a inventory system to help students find the component they are looking for more quickly.
Collect Plastic
Lasercut Plastic into new things
Organized the printers so they are easier to access and organized filament so it was easy to find and staying properly stored.
Reorganized the physical Makerspace rooms to create better work flow and optimize tool and component access.
Worked with the glass blowing studio Stone and Glass to create a artwork for UCSD that is now installed on campus.
This is a faux stained glass that I designed, laser cut, and then filled with resin. It was over 3 feet in length and contained 12 different colors of resin.
