Who Should Apply?

All students who will be incoming 10th, 11th, and 12th grade in summer 2023 are welcome to apply. If you are someone who enjoys solving puzzles and discovering patterns and relationships, then we encourage you to submit your application today. In particular, we welcome students who have little to no coding experience to join the program.

The Data Science Discovery Bootcamp offers numerous benefits to underrepresented high school students who are interested in exploring the world of data science and coding. Some of the key benefits of attending the boot camp include:

1. Hands-on experience: Participants will get the chance to learn by doing, as they work on real-world data science projects using Python coding.

2. Exposure to the field: The boot camp will provide students with an in-depth look at the field of data science and the various career paths available.

3. Tight-knit Community: Participants will have the opportunity to meet and work with other students who are passionate about data science and coding. This can lead to valuable connections and lifelong friendships.

4. Boost in self-confidence: The hands-on experience can help students develop a greater sense of confidence in their ability to succeed in the field of data science.

5. Preparation for college and career: The skills and knowledge gained through the boot camp will provide students with a solid foundation for further education and a head start on their careers in data science.

Program Cost

The program will have a $50 participation cost for students who are accepted and wish to attend. This cost will be due 2 weeks after acceptance emails are sent out.
