UCR School of Medicine Summer Research Program 2024

We are excited to announce our annual Summer Research Program opportunities for summer 2024 for currently enrolled 1st year medical students!

This year, we have expanded the program to include funding support for more students, a larger stipend, and a broader range of scientific disciplines than ever before. This expansion, generously funded by the Dean’s Office, is part of our ongoing commitment to provide students with inspirational and innovative research and scholarship opportunities.

Eligibility

All applicants must be in good academic and professional standing as determined by Student Affairs Administration. Students with outstanding LACE requirements and remediating a block are not eligible. Applicants will be required to attend an orientation prior to the start of the program. 

Application Instructions


Compensation

All accepted applicants will be enrolled in MDCL 290 (1 unit) and receive a $3,000 stipend through Financial Aid. The cost of the 1 unit fee will be paid for you by Student Affairs.

To receive a grade of Pass, students must:

 

Dates

Project dates run from June 17th, 2024- July 26th, 2024. Please note, the Community Health Education Projects, under Teresa Cofield will take place approximately one week prior to June 17th.
