My Passion

I am very passionate about teaching. More specifically, I want to strengthen everyone’s reading skills this year since it is the foundation of success moving forward. I will work closely with every student to ensure everyone knows how to read in the best way possible and comprehend the material to compare and contrast different texts. I will be teaching how to describe the different characteristics of a book, how to voice your own opinion on the characters and point out the main idea. We will also be focusing on foundational skills like decoding multi-syllable words and how to use context clues to understand new words. We will also focus on writing, speaking, listening, and language skills. We will be focusing on punctuation and capitalization. We will also be learning about nouns, verbs, adjectives, and more. 

As I stated before, I really enjoy being outdoors. My favorite activities include bike riding and hiking. I also really enjoy going on picnics, admiring the clouds trying to figure out what shapes are hidden, and looking at the stars. I find it all very peaceful. I like to hike up random mountains that have roads leading to the top. I also like hiking up Mt. Roubidoux since there are different ways to get to the top. I recommend taking your children here since the view is beautiful at the top. I love when I go at the right time to see the sunset and when I go at night to see all the city lights. It truly is a breathtaking experience and something everyone should experience.
