To search for a resource in UC Library Search -
Navigate to the "advanced search" screen.
The results page includes way to sort and refine results -
Use "available online" to access e-resources immediately.
Sort by "resource type" to look at only books or only articles.
Sort by "subject" to sort results by specific subject.
The record for each resource contains helpful information -
How to save or link to the resource.
Automatic citation generator (please note: always check any automatically generated citation).
Source print option.
The record for physical books contains -
The "status" of the item - "available" or "checked out" etc..
The "call number" which is where the book is locate on the shelf,
The "map it" option to locate the shelf by floor of the library.
For e-resoruces like ebooks and articles the record contains -
A link to the resource and/or
A link to the database where the resource is located.
