Infobase Learning Cloud (formerly Hoonuit) is a tutorial repository subscription service that all UCM faculty/staff and students have access to. From the Infobase/Hoonuit site, you can access thousands of helpful tutorials on many common applications.

How do I access the Infobase/Hoonuit tutorials?

The Hoonuit tutorial site can be accessed by:

  1. Login to the UCM Blackboard site

  2. From the Bb Institutional page, scroll down to 3rd Party Tools and Resources

  3. Click on the Hoonuit link

  4. Enter your UCM network credentials

  5. the UCM Hoonuit site will launch

How do I search for specific tutorials?

You will need to access the UCM Hoonuit site by following the directions in the "How do I access the Hoonuit tutorials?" information found above.

Once you are logged into the Hoonuit (Infobase) site you will see a Search field in the upper left-hand corner of the page. Simply type in any application to see if there are tutorials available.

Adding a Hoonuit lesson to your course

  1. Login to Blackboard

  2. Navigate to the content area inside the course where you would like to add the lesson

  3. From the Tools menu, select Infobase Learning Cloud formerly Hoonuit from the drop-down menu

  1. The Configure Tool: Infobase Learning Cloud - Formerly Hoonuit window will open. From here you will see the following options:

    • Name: The name window defaults to Info Learning Cloud. Note: You can rename your lesson to identify the topic.

    • Description: Provide a description for what your learners will need to do to complete this lesson

    • Services: Identify whether you want to include this as an assessment for your course. If you do not want to assign points for completing this lesson you may uncheck the Add to Grade under the Services menu. Review all grading options under the Services tab before moving to Options

    • Options: Allow you to make the content available to students

    • Groups: If you have assigned Groups within your course, this option allows you to assign this lesson to an individual group


  1. After you have set the lesson parameters, click on Submit and Select Training button in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen

  2. The Infobase Learning Cloud window opens within the content area.

  1. Use the Search All Content feature to find a lesson

  2. Click on the chevron next to the Search All Content to see the different categories of lessons. Those categories include:

    • All Content: Includes all lessons available in the database

    • Hoonuit Learning Module: Includes all Hoonuit lessons previously created

    • Includes Assessments: Lessons under Include Assessments have built-in assessments for those lessons.

    • My Campus Training: offers training opportunities specifically for the institution

    • New & Popular: Lessons that have recently been added and those that are most used

  1. Click on the title of the lesson that you would like to use in your course to see more details related to the specific lesson

  2. The information window for this lesson will appear. Click +Content to see the entire lesson.

  1. The lesson window will open. By default, all of the lesson content (All Learning Resources and All Assessments - if applicable) is made available. On this page you can turn any of the lesson components off by clicking on the checkmark next to each lesson item.

  1. Once you have identified which learning resources you wish to use with the lesson, click Submit.

  2. The Submission Successful window will appear and you can click on Back to Course to go back to your content area.

  3. You will see the lesson embedded in your course.
