Welcome to my homepage. I am an anglophone Spanish philosopher (BSc in astrophysics, Edinburgh; MSc & PhD in philosophy, LSE), specializing in philosophy and history of science. I am known particularly for my work in the philosophy of physics and probability, as well as my long standing involvement in the philosophical study of modelling practice across the natural sciences from the 19th century onwards.

I have published in many of the leading journals and publishing houses in the field, and I am often invited to speak at forums across Europe and North America. I was centrally involved in the creation of the European Philosophy of Science Association (EPSA), and regularly serve as referee for some of the main journals, presses, agencies, and funding bodies at international, European, and national levels.

Occasionally, I publish in Spanish media on matters relative to our daily lives, culture, and public policies, with a focus on education and science.

Outside philosophy, I am an avid reader of literature in English, French, Italian, and Spanish, a keen film and theatre goer and critic, and a knowledgeable listener of jazz and classical music. I spend as much time as I can outdoors, away from the city bubble, on my bike or in mountain boots.
