In January of 2018 SDUC and St. Louis Job Corps entered a partnership to provide Lieberman Learning Center students with an opportunity to participate in their work based learning program. Students participating in this new program attend LLC in the morning and Job Corps in the afternoon. This career readiness partnership provides our students to both receive their SDUC high school diploma along with opportunities to receive career technical training that will enhance opportunities for employment upon graduation.
As a result of this career readiness experience, students receive vocational training and certification, improve their work habits and attitudes, identify professional goals and aptitudes, and become more motivated to complete and further their education. Vocational training opportunities include Advanced Manufacturing, Construction, Finance and Business, Healthcare, Homeland Security, Hospitality, and Transportation.
