Student Conduct Early College students are required to adhere to both the School District of University City and St Louis Community College policies and procedures as outlined in the UCHS Student Guide Expectations Guide and STLCC Policy/Procedures. This includes the School District and College codes of student conduct, computer usage, and security and safety information, among others. All disciplinary actions, including suspension and dismissal from UCHS, shall be in conformity with the codes of school conduct of both parties.
Student Responsibilities The School District of University City covers the cost of tuition, fees, and textbooks for student participants in the Early College Program. However, if an EC student fails a dual enrollment course, the student in conjunction with their parent/guardian will be responsible for paying the tuition for the college course credit and related textbook/material fees. In this event, the fee will be added to the student account by the Business Office at UCHS. Students will not receive their UCHS High School Diploma until all financial obligations have been met.
Satisfactory Academic Progress All students will undergo a semester review process with a panel consisting of members of the Early College Support Team. The purpose of this review is to provide time to reflect on student experiences within the program, receive parent feedback, update the four year plan as needed and address any concerns or issues. Students are expected to maintain at least a C average in all Early College courses. In cases where students earn a D, F, or withdraw from a course the Early College team may place students on Academic Probation. Requirements of probation may include more frequent check ins, payment for failed courses, reduced dual enrollment caseload or removal from the Early College Program. Signature confirms that you have read this document in completion, understand its content, and agree to abide by the parameters outlined in this document as it relates to Student Conduct, Student/Families Responsibilities, and Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Welcome and thank you for your interest in “College Reimagined for the U,” a collaborative initiative between St. Louis Community College (STLCC) and The School District of University City. Participants will be dually enrolled in STLCC and UCHS while simultaneously working towards a high school diploma and an Associate's degree. This early-entrance-to college program is a two year program, replacing the junior and senior years of traditional high school. Students will be enrolled in a curriculum consisting of dual credit and dual enrollment taught by professors at STLCC – Forest Park and District Staff designated by the College. Upon successful completion, students earn an Associate of Arts degree in addition to a high school diploma. This is an opportunity for high performing and exceptional students to socialize and study in a learning community of peers.
