To Incoming 2019-20 MAT Candidates,
Everything is in place for you to begin the enrollment process. However, if you plan to apply to waive out of health insurance, you need to wait until the waiver window opens on 5/20, because this is the first step. I’ve attached the enrollment form you need to use (you’ll need two copies – one for each session), summer session schedules 1 and 2, and instructions for waiving insurance, enrolling in courses and applying for summer aid and Cal Grants.
Please follow the attached instructions and read the notes below carefully:
· When registering for Summer Session please register for both sessions – use two enrollment forms to do this and make sure you read all notes on the schedules carefully. You only need to pay for 8 units across both sessions. You can choose any cohort you want, unless you are a MS bilingual/dual immersion candidate and then you need to sign up for cohort D (referred to as Cohort B during fall, winter and spring). Multiple subject candidates should stay in the same cohort across summer sessions 1 and 2 but single subject candidates can switch cohorts if they’d like to.
· When completing the Summer Session Enrollment Form please note that MISC 990 Course Code 00070 is a stand-in for the health insurance payment of $1042.46. If you are eligible, you should waive out of health insurance before enrolling in Summer Session so you won’t need to get reimbursed for this fee. You need to register for summer session in person or by mail (unfortunately, you cannot enroll for Summer Session online). Do not enroll for Summer Session if there is any chance you will want to defer your enrollment to 2020-21.
